Dr. Carson previously was an instructor in the medical decision-making course taught at the Northwestern University School of Medicine.  

Related research
Dr. Carson is a practicing hematologist and medical oncologist at the Siteman Cancer Center with a clinical focus in the treatment of lymphoma and multiple myeloma. His research focuses on obesity-related treatment disparities in cancer patients using retrospective databases housed at the St. Louis Veterans Administration Hospital. In addition, he is working with researchers at other institutions to evaluate the evidence supporting FDA-accelerated approval and non-approved ‘off-label’ oncology drug indications.
